There is a glitch, that I personally LOVE.
Here is the glitch. Keep in mind, you have to have at least one fishing sprite to do this. Ok, during winter, go to the Harvest Sprite Tree, hire the fishing sprites or sprite to fish at the beach for 7 days, then after you do that, go home and ship something, anything. Then go to sleep and when you wake up, look at your money, you should magically be getting more money randomly through the week. Ship something everyday during that week, by the end of the week, you should have a billion dollars. Oh! And if you want medals go to the sprite tree and go to the sprite that sells medals, then click on exchange money for medals, then when it asks you how much you want press the R button on your DS. And there you go! You have a lot of medals!! Have Fun!!

For the casino, not so much. The real medals are double or nothing though.
I recommend poker (if you have it) and win any value, then double down until you think you are risking too much.
This is the fastest way to earn medals without a game shark or action replay.
